Fighting Hard to Protect your Rights
We begin working to protect your rights from the moment we hear the details of your case. All of the evidence against you is examined and analyzed to ensure that the police did not violate your Constitutional Rights. If proper procedures were not followed, there may be grounds to reduce the charges against you or dismiss your case entirely.
Our defense team will prepare a robust and multifaceted defense demonstrating to the prosecution that you are prepared to go to trial. Our attorneys believe that preparing for trial sends a clear message to the prosecution that you need to be taken seriously as a defendant and that you are not just another number caught in the system. We believe when the prosecution sees you as a human being, your plea barging position is strengthened. If our attorneys are unable to get your case dismissed or secure a favorable plea bargain agreement, they will continue to develop a well-rounded and strong defense aimed at obtaining the best possible outcome for you.
OVI in Ohio
Previously known as driving under the influence (DUI) and driving while intoxicated (DWI), operating a vehicle impaired (OVI) encompasses both of those charges. Ohio law has strict penalties for drivers convicted of OVI. Even a first-time offender may face jail time, fines, license suspension, and points on their driver’s license. Jail time and fines increase based on the number of OVI convictions a driver has had over the past six years.
The state’s implied consent law requires drivers who are suspected of OVI to submit to a sobriety test at the request of the police. Refusal can result in an automatic driver’s license suspension of one to five years. If you have had two or more OVI convictions police are required to administer a blood alcohol content or chemical test through any reasonable measure.
Our attorneys have a special interest and zeal for client representation in the arena of OVI. Let us put our passion to work in your OVI case.
Representation of Law Enforcement
Everyone needs legal counsel at some time or another, this includes members of law enforcement. One of our attorneys, Chris Wesner has successfully defended a police officer involved in a fatal shooting, this officer was cleared of any wrongdoing and is now back at work with a clean record.
